Jesse Dougherty-
The Miami New Times inflicted yet another punch on Major League Baseball today when they released a report on an anti-aging clinic in Miami that has dished out Performance Enhancing Drugs to professional baseball players.
The four players listed for the public today were Alex Rodriguez, Gio Gonzalez, Nelson Cruz and Melky Cabrera. Cabrera and Rodriguez have both been linked to steroid usage in the past and now Gonzalez and Cruz join the long list of those who have succumbed to the pressure to perform.
Anthony Bosch, the 49-year old specialist who runs the clinic, was linked to Manny Ramirez when he was suspended for 50 games due to drug abuse in 2009.
ESPN reported that Alex Rodriguez has hired a lawyer, and that a 3-month investigation led to the Miami New Times releasing their 5400-word story online exposing the program earlier today.
